In this class, you will learn resist and tie-dye techniques, apply them to a cotton market bag, and dye it with Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes. The dyes are permanent, ensuring many years of use.
One cotton market bag approximately 13.5" wide x 15" tall with handles is included. Dyes and materials are available during class.
Note: Fiber-reactive dyes rest for 24 hours. Your bag will go home with you to be washed and dried before using it.
This class will be easier than you think. No previous painting experience is needed!
Join me for a fun afternoon and get your friends to register too-it will be a fun group adventure.

An important note: Aprons and gloves are provided, but clothing may be subject to staining. Please wear articles of clothing that you don’t mind getting dyed on, including shoes.
What are resist techniques?
Resist techniques like tie-dye and Shibori create patterns by preventing the dye from reaching specific areas. In this class, we will use mechanical means to block dye by tying, binding, or folding the fabric
